Advertisers need to sell, a reason why they are always looking for new formula. And the latest is how they are cashing in on top Bollywood couples.
For actors and real life couple, Kajol and Ajay Devgan, the Whirlpool commercial which is couple is shooting for is just another way of opening a new door to some fast money by taking real life to reel life.
And for ad filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar who has been directing the couple, it means keeping his eyes open all the time.
“You have to watch the interplay between the two and put it to best use,†says Kakkar.
And if you are wondering, what this couple is like when they put on their act for the screen, Kakkar has all the insights.
“If she does not like something she snaps whereas he is lot more professional also because he is a producer in his own right. You can take advantage with Ajay but you can’t take any liberties with Kajol,†says Kakkar.
But a few extra takes for the ad don’t matter, or for that matter even mouthing dialogues that are not in a familiar language because a little extra effort they say can take you smiling all the way home.
