Ajay Devgan and Raj Kumar Santoshi have teamed up again, even before their latest collaborative effort Halla Bol is out.
Ajay has become the envy of his colleagues by wangling the role of Ram in Santoshi’s multi-million bi-lingual epic Ramayan .
Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan were the two other actors to play Ram.
Speaking on the casting coup, Ajay says, “You’ll have to ask Raj why he thought I made the best Ram.
But no, I didn’t lobby for the role.” It’s said that Santoshi’s association with Ajay strengthened after the director fell out with Sunny Deol.
But Ajay couldn’t be bothered with what came before and what comes after him.
“Rajji and I share a perfect working relationship.
Halla Bol is about a filmstar and his conscience.
It’s about how a celebrity can lose everything he has worked for if he doesn’t give back to society some of what he gets.”
