Ajay Devgan’s directorial debut film, now titled You Me Aur Hum, will commence shooting from 5 May 2007.

Sources say the film’s earlier title Main Tum Aur Hum was turned down by the Producers Association and Devgan had to opt for another one.

Says producer Kumar Mangat, who looks after Devgan’s business affairs, “It will be a month long schedule. We plan to shoot on a cruise liner between Mumbai and Lakshwadeep. A few scenes may be canned on the islands too.”

“Ajay is playing one of the leads in Sunday too, which is being produced by me. Director Rohit Shetty has shot for the film for 30 days in Delhi, and will commence the next schedule in June,” Mangat adds.

In You Me Aur Hum, Devgan plays the lead along with Kajol. The film co-stars Rituparno Sen Gupta, Sumeet Raghavan, Isha Sharvani and Karan Khanna. Sarika too features in the film in an important role. The film is being produced by Devgan under the banner of Devgan Films and will be presented by Eros.
