Ajay Devgan is a man of his word

When Ajay Devgan gives his word, he keeps it. Impressed by the skills of cinematographer Aseem Bajaj during the making of Zameen and later Golmaal, Ajay had promised Aseem if he turned director he would hire him as a cinematographer.

And Ajay kept his word, ignoring feelers from many leading technicians. He hired Aseem for his romantic film, U, Me and Hum starring himself and wife Kajol. The film is being shot on Panavision a format that Aseem had experimented with while shooting S Ramachandran’s music video with Asha Bhosle and Urmila Matondkar.

While shooting for the video, Asha found that Aseem was the grandson of one of her favourite music directors Khemchand Prakash.

Aseem has earlier shot his wife Leena Yadav’s film Shabd as well as the Anant Balani-started and Sudhir Mishra-completed film Chameli. He also did Mishra’s Hazaaron Khwahishen Aisi. Ajay sure won’t be disappointed.
