After OMKARA, deja vu for Ajay Devgan with CASH
Published by ajay devgan July 9th, 2007 in NewsAjay Devgan may have a strong sense of deja vu once his CASH arrives on the big screen this July.
The reason is simple. Exactly an year back his OMKARA had released all over on July 28th. Now exactly a year later, his CASH will be coming on July 27th. Incidentally in the interim Ajay was not seen in any film though there were murmers throughout the year that his long in the making NAAM [earlier titled BENAAM] would finally reach the finishing line.
At the moment NAAM is still waiting in the wings though CASH has got its post production just right and is eventually arriving after a few hiccups in its final release plan.
When released, OMKARA got Ajay Devgan tremendous critical acclaim as he did a very fine job in the lead role. Though CASH is hardly the film that has been made for critical acclaim, the ‘masala action’ flavor should ensure that Devgan’s fans who have been waiting to see him do all the action and stunts have their hands full.
Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film is been keenly anticipated and has been noticed for its action as well as dance sequences. With music by Vishal Shekhar fast making a mark and high tech action sequences aided by tremendous cinematography giving the film an edge, CASH is expected to get much better box office revenues when compared to Devgan’s own OMKARA.
Shot primarily in South Africa, CASH stars Suneil Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh, Zayed Khan, Esha Deol, Dia Mirza and Shamita Shetty in principal roles.
