Devgan honoured with Jasarat Award

He’s a chilled-out, down to earth actor, who has now proven his skills in front of the camera and behind it, too. Ajay Devgan has always been known more for his socially relevant films—like Zakhm, Legend of Bhagat Singh, Gangaajal, Apaharan and Halla Bol—than his comic capers. And, finally, here is someone who appreciates his work.

The Urdu Press Club honoured Devgan with the Jasarat Award at Kanpur. Although he was not present at the award ceremony, he gave his respects in a written statement that talked about the value of Urdu and its significance in the Indian film industry.

Historian-author Amaresh Misra was also honoured with the Jasarat Award at the same function.
