Ajay Devgan is still basking in the rave reviews of his performance in the film. Ajay is looking hotter than ever, shooting for Raj Kumar Santoshi’s film ‘Halla Bol’ at Film City. The success of ‘Omkara’ sits well on his able shoulders. “I’m not thinking of ‘Omkara’ and ‘Golmaal’ any longer.

I have moved on,” he says with a smile. However, ask him about Academy Award hopes for ‘Omkara’ and he quickly adds, “I just hope it’s nominated for the Oscars because it truly deserves that. I also believe ‘Rang De Basanti’ deserves to be there too.”

For now, Ajay is happy with the response that the film has generated. “Someone said that it looked like Shakespeare had written the character of Othello keeping Ajay in mind. I take that as a huge compliment,” he says with a huge grin, adding, “I’m not the kind to tom-tom about how great my film is. I know others do it, but I never will.”

Ajay admits he’s been lucky to have been repeatedly chosen by good filmmakers. “I share a certain kind of rapport and most importantly, I haven’t had any kind of trouble with anybody. I have been a professional. I know where I stand and how much I can push and how much I can’t.”

Ajay says Bollywood is not insecure, but many of its inhabitants are. “As long as people have appreciated your work and you are confident, there is no need to be insecure. I see insecurity in the performances of a few of my colleagues and it’s not a great thing to watch.” He agrees that manipulation does exist here but, “it doesn’t’ last. It comes back to them eventually.”

Right now, he’s happier being at home with wife and daughter. He says, “Kajol wasn’t much of a social person before marriage, and neither was I. So when we are together, you obviously can’t expect us to go partying very often. We have our own set of friends who we meet.”
