From playing a dotting husband in ‘U Me Aur Hum’, romancing wife Kajol in several ‘roll in the hay’ scenes to playing the goofball character in his forthcoming flick ‘Golmaal Returns’, Ajay Devgan is now going back to basics. The actor is all charged up to enact his favourite part-a cold-blooded calculating underworld don.
But, this time round it’s no work of fiction. Wonder why we say that?
Well, unlike his previous flicks ‘Company’ and ‘Omkara’, the actor will enact the character inspired by the real life tale of the notorious underworld ‘Don’ Haji Mastan. Sources told Spicezee that the film is featured on the life of the underworld don Haji, who haunted the Indian film industry from ’60s and ’70s.
The film will also see, Emraan Hashmi playing the role of infamous underworld king Dawood Ibrahim.
Speaking to Spicezee, a source said, “Both, director Milan Luthria and Suniel Shetty always wanted to cast Ajay as his physical characteristics perfectly match that of Haji Mastan. But, it was only last week that Milan went to Phuket to narrate the script to Ajay, where he is shooting for ‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’, and things fell into place. Ajay loved his role and immediately signed on the dotted line”.
Well going by the actors’ penchant portrayal of grey shades we can only say-good thinking Milan!
