Ajay Devgan who was presently shooting in London for Vipul Shah’s London Dreams was invited by Mrs Cherie Blair (Britain’s ex-PM, Tony Blair’s wife) for a dinner organized by the Loomba trust. This event is hosted every year by the UK India Business Council. The Loomba Trust is a charity organization which lends support to widows and their children globally. Though Ajay was busy in shooting, he made it a point to honor the invitation and packed up early that particular day.

For that special evening, designer Ana Singh designed a formal suit for Ajay. Speaking from London, the actor said, “By attending the gala dinner, I will mark my support towards humanity and non-violence. Though Kajol too has been invited, I don’t think she will be able to make it.”

Ajay has always been proud to be affiliated to causes especially which are for women, children and about society. Ajay’s close friend Mandeep Kakkar is also a patron of the Loomba Trust (Cherie Blair is the President of the Trust). Mandeep has spoken about the deeds and charities which Ajay and Kajol support in India and that has impressed Cherie Blair. Hence the invitation has been extended only to the two of them.”
