umbai film industry’s latest find and Patna’s very own young actress Neetu Chandra, while talking to reporters at a press conference at Hotel Maurya in Patna on Tuesday, said she was proud to be a Bihari and this fact she would never forget even when she has planted her feet firmly in the film industry.

Calling Amitabh Bachchan, Smita Patil, Kajol, and Ajay Devgan as her favorite film stars, Neetu also talked about her upcoming film Traffic Signal directed by the Chandni Bar and Page 3 fame film-maker Madhur Bhandarkar.

“While acting in films had been my desire for a long time, I also wish to get involved in social programs for the welfare of young girls,” the young starlet, who was appointed Bihar’s Girl-Child ambassador, said.

In Bhandarkar’s Traffic Signal, Neetu plays a Kathiawadi girl who sells trinkets at traffic crossings to make a living, a far cry from her more oomphy role in Garam Masala.

Her next film is going to be Homeland with Anupam Kher, Neetu said.
