Ajay Devgan and Kajol in Rohit Shetty’s Next
November 10, 2009, (Sawf News) – Rohit Shetty is scouting for a powerful script to cast his all time favorite star and friend, Ajay Devgan, and wife Kajol together in his next.
“Ajay and Kajol have a very strong reputed husband-wife kind of image and with them it (the film) should be of that class and on that level. I have been looking for a script keeping them in mind and the day I get one, I’ll definitely make a film with both of them,” Shetty said.
Ajay and Kajol featured together in their home production U, Me And Hum (2008). Devgan’s next, his second directorial venture, is an action film with an undercurrent of dark humor that does does not feature Kajol because Ajay says, “the leading lady’s role does not suit her.”
Ajay has featured in all Shetty films – Zameen, Golmaal, Sunday, Golmaal Returns and the recent hit All The Best – Fun Begins.
The duo will return with the third in the series of Golmaal franchise and a sequel to All The Best.
Talking about featuring in all of Shetty’s films Ajay says, “We’ve known each other for the past 17-18 years, and we get along very well. He is one of my favorite directors. I think, together, we have made good, entertaining films.”
Kajol is currently filming in the US for Karan Johar production’s Step Mom adaptation, with co-star Kareena Kapoor.
