The KaraFestival (Karachi international film festival), from December 6 to 17 in Karachi, will see massive participation from indian films and Bollywood celebrities.

Till now, only a few Bollywood personalities, like Mahesh Bhatt, would attend the festival. Hasan Zaidi, festival director confirms that Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, Shiney Ahuja, Anupam Kher, Mohit Suri, Tanuja Chandra, Kumar Mangat, Gulshan Grover and Vishal Bharadwaj, among others will make it officially there.

“it’s great to have more and more indian films in Pakistan as i believe cultural exchanges certainly help in building bridges between the two countries. We are trying to get actors like Rani Mukherji, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu as well. Let’s see how it goes,” says Zaidi.

Films like Omkara, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Woh Lamhe, Hope and A Little Sugar, amongst others will be screened there. Mahesh Bhatt, indian ambassador for the KaraFestival says, “i am glad that in the last six years the KaraFestival has achieved what it has set out to.”
