indian actor Ajay Devgan is ready to revive his production house and direct his first film next year, a news report said Thursday.

Devgan’s wife, the popular actress Kajol, is likely to play the female lead in the film, the report added.

“We are currently working on the script…once we have a script we will decide on the rest of the details,” his publicist told the Times of india newspaper. Devgan’s production house Devgan Entertainment made a children’s film called “Raju Chacha” or “Raju Uncle” in 2000.

Devgan, who started out as an action star, has garnered critical acclaim for portraying gritty and realistic characters in his recent films. Earlier this year he played the lead in the film “Omkara” a Bollywood version of Shakespeare’s “Othello.”
