Finally Devgan is ready to take the plunge. He turns feature-film director for the first time in April with a sweet soft sentimental love story entitled Main Tum Aur Hum.

His co-star in this prestigious home production will be none other than his wife the fabulous Kajol.

Ajay and Kajol have done a large number of films together including the successful home-production Pyar To Hona Hi Ttha and the fiasco Raju Chacha.

Main Tum Aur Hum will be based on a story by Ajay Devgan himself.

Cinematographer Aseem Prakash Bajaj (he shot Ajay in Zameen and Gol Maal) who will be shooting Devgan’s directorial debut says the plot will move every romantic to tears.

“i remember when Ajay narrated the story to me i was moved to tears at several parts. The story is unique and yet it’ll touch everyone’s heart. it talks about love commitment, janmon ka rishta, the institution of marriage and the whole cult of man-woman relationships”

Ajay and Kajol have already started prepping for their roles. According to well-placed sources Ajay Devgan hopes to revive his production house in a big way with a film that showcases his acting talents with his wife.

Kajol who was last seen in Yashraj film’s Fanaa apparently sees a home production as just the vehicle to keep her motherly duties well balanced with her acting aspirations.

As for Ajay we’ll see another leading man turn to direction. it’s been quite a while since a hero took the plunge at his prime. The last one to do so was Sunny Deol in Dillagi
