Ajay Devgan has won an award without any competition and that too for the recently released Omkara. Surprised as to what award? Well this award has been given to him by the makers of Cash.

The makers of Cash, when distributed the press kit to the media, the introductory line for Ajay Devgan had it saying that he is the star from the award winning film Omkara. But the point to note is that Omkara released in July this year and so far it has not received any nomination forget any award. So why did the makers of Cash have to promote Ajay Devgan like that. Or is it they are promoting Omkara?

Well if Omkara wins an award or not, only time will tell but Cash is definitely making news for the genre it is attempting. Whether Omkara wins or not, makers of Cash definitely want Cash to win an award.

Ajay Devgan has yet not watched ‘Fanaa’, which marked his wife’s comeback to films after a hiatus, because of his hectic shooting schedules. “I get so embarrassed when people ask me whether I’ve watched the film or not.

I haven’t been able to because of the workload,” said Ajay in a recent interview. However he will not miss ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ anyway, “I would definitely take some time out to see the film. I am told it’s an amazing film,” said Ajay in the same breath.

Ajay is presently in Cape Town shooting ‘Cash’. “I hope to watch this one when I get back,” he said. Why not ‘Fanaa’? Industry grapevine insists that Ajay Devgan isn’t getting time to watch ‘Fanaa’ because he doesn’t want to see the film. In Delhi with husband Ajay Devgan for the promotion of a home appliances brand - the couple are brand ambassadors for the company - the two made a blink-and-you-miss appearance.

“I’ve been told to keep the conversation limited to my role as a brand ambassador, so I can’t talk about my projects,” she said during a media interaction, before beating a hasty retreat.

Bollywood stars Ajay Devgan , Esha Deol , Shamita Shetty and Ritesh Deshmukh will popularise Cape Town as an international tourist hot spot with ‘Tourism South Africa’ roping in Indian actors for their campaign.

The Indian actors, currently in South Africa for the shooting of Bollywood film Cash , will be promoting the tourism potential of Cape Town by taking part in a unique promotional programme next week.

Director Ram Gopal Varma has pooh-poohed rumours that Ajay Devgan asked him to change the script of ‘Sholay’. Devgan plays Veeru and Mohit Ahlawat Jai in this remake.

Denying the rumours Varma told IANS: ‘Ajay did not ask me to make changes in the script. We’ve worked together before in ‘Company’ and ‘Bhoot’ and there’s no problem at all.’

Talking about the delay in the project, he said: ‘It may seem like a delay because we started shooting in September. But it was meant to be shot in September.’
