Big 92.7 FM in association with Kumar Mangat’s Big Screen Entertainment, are inviting entries for ‘Big Break’ - the first ever national reality radio hunt - for the main lead actor of a Bollywood film.

The hunt conducted through Big 92.7 FM has Raj Kumar Santoshi, Vishal Bharadwaj, Anurag Basu and Ajay Devgan as the judges. Big 92.7 FM is the exclusive on-air media partner for the search of the new Bollywood lover boy of 2007.

Ajay Devgan Biography

Vishal Devgan, born April 2, 1969, Delhi, India), popularly known as Ajay Devgan is an actor working in the Hindi film industry (Bollywood). Beginning as an action hero in the early 1990s, Devgan matured early in his career, as is widely regarded now as one of the finest actors in the industry. Some of his critically acclaimed performances are in the movies Omkara, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Dil Kya Kare, and Company.

Biography

He is originally from Punjab. His father is Veeru Devgan, a director and stuntman. His cousin brother is Anil Devgan, a film director in Bollywood.

He is a graduate of Silver Beach High School in Juhu & Mithibai College.

His debut film Phool Aur Kaante, where he played opposite Amrish Puri, won a Filmfare Best Debut award. Though his earlier movies were of action genre, he broke this trend after starring in the comedy Ishq in 1997. Continue reading ‘Ajay Devgan Biography’

The actor was overwhelmed by the wholehearted welcome given by the people of Karachi during the 6th Kara Film Festival.

Director Vishal Bharadwaj , producer Kumar Mangat and Ajay Devgan were in Karachi on Saturday for the screening of their film Omkara . Right from the time their plane landed in Karachi, the trio got a genuine welcome from people there.

2006 was a happening year for Ajay Devgan. He tasted success with GOLMAAL where he made his gawky comic act work in his favor that resulted in this Rohit Shetty film to do very good business at the box office. Later he was seen in OMKARA where he got an all around critical and mass acclaim.

Though the film just about managed to break even for its distributors due to its high price, none could dispute the fact that this Vishal Bhardwaj film would have a cult standing after a decade or so.

From a comic and a dramatic outing, Ajay Devgan has quickly moved on to a film which belongs to the genre that has been his forte over the years - ACTiON! Ajay Devgan’s appearance at Saturday’s screening of indian film Omkara can easily be termed the highpoint of this year’s Karafilm Festival. The Bollywood actor is perhaps the biggest star the festival has had yet. Small wonder, then, that he stole the show.

Ajay Devgan alongside director Vishal Bhardwaj, producer Kumar Mangat and writer Robin Bhatt (brother of Mahesh Bhatt) had come to Karachi for the first time and film aficionados of this city greeted their presence with wonderment.

Bollywood star Ajay Devgan stole the limelight in Karachi where he arrived on Saturday evening to attend the screening of his recent film Omkara at the ongoing ‘Kara Film Festival’.

As soon as the microphone was handed in their hands, two twin girls greeted him with: “Hiiii Ajayyyy………We love youuuu…We’ve dressed only for youuuu…,” reported the Daily Times.

“We want to sing a song for you,” the twins announced, and the indian super star soon responded: “Please go ahead.”
