Contrary to the serious impression he usually gives, Ajay Devgan is quite a prankster when he is in jocular mood.

While shooting for director Anubhav Sinha’s movie Cash in Cape Town, Ajay, along with his co-stars Ritesh Deshmukh and Zayed Khan , made sure to add some fun to work.

Actor Saif Ali Khan will not be attending the premier of his latest film Omkara at Pakistan’s prestigious Kara Film Festival.

Khan, who was expected to arrive here, will be unable to pay a visit to the city due to “his visit dates clashing with his shooting schedules”, the Daily Times reported.

Ajay Devgan, who also stars in the film, is yet to confirm his presence at the premier. According to the spokesman of the film festival, Devgan will confirm his participation 48 hours before the movie’s premier. Bollywood stars Ajay Devgan and Saif Ali Khan are likely to arrive in Karachi next week, to attend the annual Kara film festival.

Besides, a host of other indian film personalities, including Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt, Gulshan Grover, and Tanuja Chandra, are also expected to attend the film festival, which was inaugurated last evening.

“So far we have the Bhatt brothers, Mukesh and our brand ambassador Mahesh, along with legendary bad man of the industry Gulshan Grover. Tanuja Chandra, director of the Anupam Kher-starrer ‘Hope and Little Sugar’ is also here,” the Daily Times quoted the festival’s media spokesman as saying. As is well known, Ajay Devgan is building his dream bungalow in Juhu and Suniel Shetty is constructing one in Khandala. But not many know that the man behind designing these celebrity homes is the owner of the Sheesha chain of restaurants – the 27-year-old Ali Reza. He’s also a close friend of Devgan and Shetty. incidentally, the two even attended the opening of one of Reza’s restaurants.

“i have known Suniel for over four years now. He lives in my neighbourhood. in fact, we have common friends, and hence, we move around in the same circle,” informs Reza, whose company, Deluxe Constructions has taken on the assignment of building the homes of these stars. Reza says that though the actors are keenly involved in their homes, they do not interfere. He adds, “They are friends, and when you work for friends, you do it differently,” he smiles.

interestingly, Reza is a qualified architect from RMiT, Melbourne. After completing his course, he dabbled with his family’s construction business before he got into the restaurant business. indian actor Ajay Devgan is ready to revive his production house and direct his first film next year, a news report said Thursday.

Devgan’s wife, the popular actress Kajol, is likely to play the female lead in the film, the report added.

“We are currently working on the script…once we have a script we will decide on the rest of the details,” his publicist told the Times of india newspaper. Bollywood couple Ajay Devgan and Kajol will represent indian cinema at the 6th Marrakech international Film Festival, which is being held from 1 – 9 December in Marrakech.

A total of 120 feature films from 22 countries will be screened at the festival, that will also pay special tribute to italian and indian cinema; as well as tributes to American actress Susan Sarandon and Chinese script writer and director Jia Zhang-Ke.

Fifteen movies have been enlisted on the official competition, including Moroccan films like Wake Up Morocco and What A Wonderful World. A tribute was paid to Arab cinema too at the opening ceremony. Moroccan actor Mohamed Majid and Egyptian director Tawfiq Salah were also honoured. The opening ceremony also marked the screening of Salah’s Egyptian film, The Back Street Of The Crazy (1955), The Rebels (1966), The Fools (1972) and Martin Scorsese’s The Departed, staring Leonardo Di Caprio, Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson.
