Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan says he knows success in the movie business is fleeting and that he doesn’t need a bunch of hangers on and cronies by his side to boost his ego.

Devgan, who says he is also interested in directing movies and is working on his first script, is one of the rare Indian actors who does not aggressively promote himself.

Talented actress Kajol, who made a comeback with Aamir Khan in ‘Fanna’ last year, will now be seen with hubby Ajay Devgan in their home production ‘You, Me and Hum’.'I won’t be able to give you much detail. Yes, Ajay is making this film with Kajol. He is producing as well as directing it,’ said Kumar Mangat, Ajay’s business manager.

Scripted by Ajay, the film is in 2000 in a children’s film ‘Raju Chacha’ – it was Kajol’s first film after marriage. Loaded with special effects, ‘Raju Chacha’ was one of the most expensive films of 2000 but sank without a trace.

After the film’s failure, Ajay never made an attempt at producing films and concentrated on his acting career and gave powerful performances in ‘Company’, ‘Bhoot’, ‘GangaaJal’, ‘Khakee’, ‘Masti’, ‘Yuva’, ‘Apaharan’ and ‘Omkara’.Meanwhile, wife Kajol was busy with home and daughter Nysa.Before ‘Raju Chacha’, the couple were seen in hits like ‘Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha’ and ‘Ishq’. Ajay Devgan is all set to fly to Delhi for a 20 days shooting schedule for Rohit Shetty’s next venture titled “Sunday”.

The film is an action comedy and is produced by Kumar Mangat and stars along with Ajay Devgan, Irfan Khan, Ayesha Takia, Anjana Sukhnani and Arshad Warsi in the lead roles.

This is yet another project together for Ajay and Rohit Shetty who we last saw in the super hit laughathon Golmaal and also in Zameen.

Ajay Devgan is a versatile actor. Starting his filmi career with ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ that proved a great hit at the box office. Ajay’s father Veeru Devgan is a director as well as producer. Ajay tries his level best to carry out his family responsibility along with his films. He is always keen on maintaining his relationship with the audience. He never misses an opportunity to reply to his fans.

If Ajay Devgan’s secretary-cum-producer Kumar Mangat is splurging money on his daughter Amita’s launch vehicle “Haaley Dil”, the Devgan family is leaving no stone unturned to make it a perfect debut for her.

Mangat, who produced last year’s critically acclaimed “Omkara”, is spending Rs.100 million on “Haaley Dil”. Ajay is keenly scanning the list of possible actors as he has taken the responsibility of finalising the male lead.
