As Veeru, Ajay Devgan’s biggest challenge in RGV’s Sholay would be to draw the laughs from the audience as readily as Dharmendra did in Ramesh Sippy’s Sholay. Known to be a prankster in real life, comedy in films is an area where Ajay has yet to make his mark.

Going by the promos, the remake has most of the scenes between Veeru and Basanti that provided comic relief in the original thriller.

Ajay Devgan completes the first schedule of his directorial debut Ajay Devgan, who is making his debut as a director with the home production ‘U Me Aur Hum’ has completed his first shooting schedule.

The stint, which went for 20 days on board a cruise liner saw the picturisation of a song and several dramatic scenes. Ajay is very excited to see the rushes.

When Mangat turned producer and launch his daughter, Ajay sat down and personally sifted through the list of boys to be cast opposite her. And now that Ajay is turning director, Mangat is backing Ajay, so that he has the best infrastructure for his directorial debut.

Actor Ajay Devgan is set to play king Ashoka in a film to be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi .

Santoshi has been doing extensive research on Ashoka, who became an emperor sometime between 269-264 BC and extended his empire through a series of battles before converting to Buddhism and non-violence (after the bloody Kalinga war).

This is because he is planning to bring his version of SHOLAY, aptly titled RAM GOPAL VERMA KE SHOLAY, on July 13th. So what’s wrong in that? Well, the fact is that even Anubhav Sinha has booked his CASH on the same Friday and this decision was taken quite a few days back.
