Bhojpuri super stars like Ravi Kissen and Manoj Tiwari charge around Rs.2.5 million per film – a nominal amount compared to what the Hindi film heroes demand.

Ravi explains, “The industry is just over 4-years-old and one which has a bright feature. It has a huge fan following as almost 35% of the Hindi audience follow Bhojpuri cinema.

Ajay Devgan and Amitabh Bachchan have also done films in this language. So I don’t think there is any risk coming in.”

We didn’t ever doubt that the deadly Devgan was a superhero in the making, but now, he’s gone ahead and proved it.

Ajay is playing a superhero in an animation film called Toonpur Ka Super-Hero .
It’s the first time he’s doing a film like this one, where he’ll be playing a character , but not in flesh and blood.

Divya Dutta is working on some great projects including Madhuri centric Aaja Nachle, Rakeysh Mehra’s Delhi 6 and You, Me and Hum with Ajay Kajol.

“I am also doing Summer of 2007, which is a very exciting film for me,” informs an elated Dutta.

“It is being made by Suhail Tatari, and also stars Sikander Kher.” Looks like the palette is full of colours for a very colourful Divya.

Finally the Cash crunch seems to be easing. The tussle between original producer Sohail Maklai and director Anubhav Sinha with his partners Infinity Films still continues in the courts.

But a major hurdle seems to have been overcome vis-a-vis the film’s release. According to a source, Ajay Devgan has finally relented to dub for the movie. He finished half of it on Wednesday afternoon. He’ll complete the remaining part on Thursday.

After Bobby Deol, will there be Ajay Devgan film festival starting this month?

Believe it or not but there are at least three films starring Ajay Devgan as the lead protagonist that are lined up for release starting July 27th, the day when his much hyped CASH hits the screens. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film sees Devgan in an action role after a hiatus.

A month later, Devgan would return as Veeru in tentatively titled RAM GOPAL VERMA KI AAG (erstwhile titled RAM GOPAL VERMA KE SHOLAY). Aiming for an August 31 release, the film is expected to open with record breaking collections, considering the buzz the film has generated ever since it was announced last year. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgan have changed the viewpoint of general audience towards Bhojpuri films by acting in them, says Bhojpuri superstar Dineshlal Yadav.

During the shooting of Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Cash’ Ajay Devgan and Zayed Khan played shocking prank on Shamita Shetty. They bought a toy resemble to an iPod and asked her to listen new songs of Cash on it. But the moment she turned it on, she got the shock. The device gave out electric currents. It left Shamita totally freaked out!

Ajay Devgan may have a strong sense of deja vu once his CASH arrives on the big screen this July.

The reason is simple. Exactly an year back his OMKARA had released all over on July 28th. Now exactly a year later, his CASH will be coming on July 27th. Incidentally in the interim Ajay was not seen in any film though there were murmers throughout the year that his long in the making NAAM [earlier titled BENAAM] would finally reach the finishing line.

Ajay Devgan is on a completely new track nowadays. Apart from featuring in various genres, the actor has also turned into a director. Talking about his career graph, Ajay says he is lucky.

“I was lucky to get the right roles at the right time with the right directors. That gave me the scope to do many different things,” says Ajay.

Ajay’s career has moved in phases. At one time, he did movies like Phool Aur Kaante, Divyashakti and Jigar. Later, he moved on to Dilwale, Zakhm and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, all proving to be a turning point in the actor’s career.
