Devgan couple in animated film

Kajol and her husband Ajay Devgan will now star in a 3-D animation film titled ‘Toonpur Ka Super Hero’.

The film marks Eros’ second production with the husband-wife duo after ‘You, Me and Hum’. Directed by ad filmmaker Kireet Khurana, ‘Toonpur …’ is an exciting story in which a reel life hero accidentally lands in a world of cartoons and transforms into a real-life hero.

The film will have Ajay Devgan playing himself. Sunil Lulla, president, Eros International says, “With You, Me and Hum’ followed by ‘Toonpur ka Super Hero’, audiences will be delighted to see the combination of Kajol and Devgan together once again. Continue reading ‘Devgan couple in animated film’

Hubby Ajay Devgan is a wonderful cook and dishes up mouth-watering Mughlai and Chinese cuisine, vouches Bollywood actor Kajol, while admitting that she is a “bad cook”.

Talented actress Kajol told IANS here: “I am a bad cook! My husband cooks really well and makes mouth-watering food varying from Mughlai to Chinese. He is a multitalented person.”

Kajol said her idea of a perfect home is one that has loads of harmony.

Actor Ajay Devgan is known for his pranks and creativity on the sets of a film. So when he was busy shooting in Delhi for Rohit Shetty’s Sunday, he was so curious about the soaring temperature — a solid 48 degrees, that he tried to see if an egg would cook under the heat of the sun.

“What Ajay had in his hand was half an omelette,” informs director Shetty. “The entire cast and crew were in splits, when AD actually took an anda and set off to work.” Egg-ad!

The versatile Raj Kumar Santoshi will start shooting his new epic on Emperor Ashoka in January. His other epic on the Ramayan with Ajay Devgan has now been postponed to the end of 2008.

Though he is not saying it aloud, Raj Kumar Santoshi’s decision to make a film on the life on Emperor Ashoka with Ajay Devgan in the lead was prompted more by the failure of Santosh Sivan’s Asoka than any other consideration.

“I am aware of Sivan’s film. He is a fine craftsman. However, my approach and treatment to this fascinating subject will be very different. Continue reading ‘Ajay Devgan versus SRK: Santoshi promises a different Ashoka’

He’s considered the angry man of Hindi films. But ask Ajay Devgan if he is also the angry man in real life and he laughs. “You can only know your reactions when you are in that situation .

When I was younger, I might have been a little hot tempered but that’s in the past. I think everyone matures over the years and it is the same with me,” says Devgan.

Looks like the years have mellowed this actor down. But his performances, we must say, have become that much more fiery!
