Ajay learns from his losses

After having lost crores of rupees with his first two production ventures, Ajay tries to correct his past mistake with his next!

“I’m excited about U. Me Aur Hum . Though it’s not my first production, it’s the first time I’ve directed a feature film. The first film I produced was Raju Chacha . I was bitten, and have learnt my lessons well…at least I think I have!

” Raju Chacha was an over-budget film. We made news by making the most expensive film at that time. And I realized it wasn’t worth it. We ran into a huge loss. And I decided to concentrate only on acting. I’m more confident now. And have enthusiastically embarked upon U, Me Aur Hum , as actor, director and producer. Ajay Devgan, Kajol turn old!

Ever imagined Ajay Devgan and Kajol with white streaks of hair? Well, it is your chance to see them in such a get up on screen in their home production U ME AUR HUM.

In the film, Ajay and Kajol play old characters when they meet for the first time. This is where Ajay narrates the story about three couples – Sumit Raghavan – Divya Dutta, Karan Khanna – Isha Sharvani while the third couple is imagined to be younger Ajay and Kajol.

After the song and dance routine, the theatrical promo of the film is out and there are two words to describe the experience – classy and dramatic! Devgan’s hold behind the camera is extra strong as he fills the frames with several interesting moments, which promise to make U ME AUR HUM and engaging cinematic outing.

Ajay Devgan and Kajol, who have been doing the rounds of reality TV shows passionately promoting their forthcoming film U Me And Hum, say they hope to make couples rediscover the ‘Hum’ within themselves through their film.

The husband and wife team, who are appearing together on screen 8 years after Raju Chacha in 2000, becomes animated when asked to explain the rather strange title of the film, which marks Ajay’s debut as a director.

While the ‘U’ and ‘Me’ in the title are easy to understand and symbolize the individuality of the couple, ‘Hum’ symbolizes their togetherness and stresses the need for them to act as one every now and then. Continue reading ‘Kajol and Ajay Devgan want couples to rediscover the ‘Hum’ within them’
