The owner of a film production house here has lodged an FIR against Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan, accusing him of failing to abide by a commitment to act in a movie under its banner.

Ajay Devgan has been in the news of late thanks to his upcoming films ‘Rajneeti’ and newly announced ‘All The Best’. However, this time he isn’t making the headlines for any of his films. Instead it is the actor’s imported bike that has drawn not just ours but also the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence’s attention towards the star.

In a massive sweep to check the duty evasion that is rampant on imported superbikes, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence cracked down on the owners of such bikes who have evaded the payment of duty by importing the bikes as parts. This evasion is blatantly visible as the bikes in question are clearly visible on the streets, but the reports fail to show any mention about them. After last year’s sensitive U Me Aur Hum Ajay Devgan is all set to produce another film in March 2009. The film will take two of our he-men Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan back to their action roots, through the laughter route.

And this time Devgan isn’t directing, long-standing friend Rohit Shetty and Devgan are back together after working together in one of biggest blockbusters of 2008 Golmaal Returns.

“And why only Golmaal?’ says Ajay. “Rohit and I go back 17 years. He was an assistant on my first film Phool Aur Kaante.”

The Antop Hill police on Tuesday arrested one Monu Singh (22) and his accomplice Sachin Sonawane (23) for allegedly kidnapping six-year-old Prahlad Gupta from near his residence in Sion.
