Priyadarshan with Ajay Devgn-Akshay Khanna

Winning the prestigious National award for his Tamil film ‘Kanchivaram’, filmmaker Priyadarshan is all set to commence his next project yet to be titled. This untitled film is based on the real life incidents in Bihar that shook everyone in terror.

Speaking about the film, Priyan says, “of course, it’s true that the film is inspired from horrific incidents that took place in Bihar in recent times. Since, it would be a raw drama if the film is made out of mere realisms; I have included more action-packed sequences that will keep the audiences intact with engrossing moments.”

As a matter of fact, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Khanna have got them wildly involved in work-outs at their makeshift gym in Karaikudi. Yeah! Priyadarshan has set the story in the backdrops of Karaikudi (situated in down-south of Tamil Nadu) that looks much similar as the village in Bihar. What’s cooking between Asin and Ajay?

London Dreams has come to a wrap but Asin and Ajay Devgn are still latched onto each other. Sources reveal the two co-stars turned great friends during the shooting of the highly anticipated flick and Ajay has turned a sort of an advisor to Asin now.

From shopping to career choices, Ajay has a point in it all. Asin has always spoken highly of Ajay and she said to the press, ‘Ajay is a terrific human being and has been extremely supportive. It feels great to receive so much warmth and support from someone. He is a great actor and I admire his fun-loving nature.’

On being quizzed about her first co-star and the man behind her Bollywood break, Aamir Khan, Asin said she only had a professional relationship with him and the two haven’t met or spoken as yet.

The source explained, “Considering Aamir hogged most of the attention during Ghajini, Asin tried to keep the level of friendship just to a professional level. She was upset about the fact that she was nowhere to be seen during the promotional activities of the boxoffice super hit and realised that she would have to keep a lot of things under consideration before she took up another project or film.” Continue reading ‘What’s cooking between Asin and Ajay?’

Ajay Devgan gets leaner, meaner

Ajay Devgan gets leaner, meaner

For his role in Priyadarshan’s hard-hitting tale of honour killing in Bihar Ajay Devgan needs to have a specially toned-up physique.

Priyan tells us why. “I’ve turned the horrific tale of an actual incident in Bihar of an inter-caste romance into a full-on actioner. See, I wanted to keep it real. At the same time I wanted to make it riveting for the audience. So while shooting on an authentic location (Karaikudi is like a small town in Bihar) I’ve made my two heroes Ajay and Akshaye Khanna into full-on action heroes. This film has the kind of real stunts never seen in Hindi cinema.”

Priyan has roped in his old action director B Thyagarajan and a stunt director from South Africa , Frances to devise action scenes which would take the director’s Bihari drama into the region of riveting realism.

Says Priyan, “When I say real action I mean fight scenes that are the opposite of cable-wired flips somersaults, jumps and leaps. This time Ajay has gone as raw as it can get.” Continue reading ‘Ajay Devgan gets leaner, meaner’
