What better way to promote a musical love story titled London Dreams than through a live concert and that too in London!
Well, director Vipul Amrutlal Shah and the colourful ensemble cast of his film are rolling up their sleeves for something like that. Come October 28, two days before the release of their film ‘London Dreams’, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Asin will perform live along with music directors Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy in front of thousands of Londoners.
In the concert, songs from the movie will be performed.
In ‘London Dreams’ Salman plays a talented musician from Punjab. He has talent but no fame. Ajay plays his friend who starts a band in London. Things take an unexpected turn when Ajay brings Salman to London and the latter strikes an instantaneous fame, while Ajay is being pushed to the sidelines. There is an important concert in the movie set in Wembley stadium.
However, for the promotional concert in London, the Wembley stadium wasn’t suited. So the organizers settled for The London Excel Arena which has space for as many as 40,000 people.
The film’s actors, music directors, and other crew members will take the stage at the Arena on October 28. The cast and crew are expected to reach London one day before the concert.
The movie is slated for worldwide release on October 30.

Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Mughda Godse

Supposedly based on an American play Right Bed Wrong Husband, Rohit Shetty’s All The Best is modeled as a comedy of mistaken identities finding its desi-siblings in Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Chukpe Chupke and Anees Bazmee’s No Entry. Though not as simple as the former or smart as latter, the comedy still clicks with its unstable blend of story, style, sense, slapstick and stunts.
Despite their love for each other, Veer (Fardeen Khan) and Vidya (Mughda Godse) strangely prefer pretending as a wedded duo (over getting married) to get their monthly pocket money from NRI brother Dharam (Sanjay Dutt). Dharma unexpectedly lands in India and mistakes Jhanvi (Bipasha Basu) as Vidya. Jhanvi’s husband Prem (Ajay Devgan) is compelled to cook up continual story to conceal the con.
Mughda Godse shocks in the opening scene with a ’sari’ state-of-affairs. Fardeen looks fat and Ajay Devgan tries too hard to look cool in cartoon t-shirts and fine-tuned facial hair only to be mistaken by Sanjay Dutt as a driver (not his fault). With his trademark tendency to exaggerate action in the film, Rohit Shetty does Golmaal in the script stuffing a mandatory car-race sequence. Fardeen Khan’s rock-band track doesn’t contribute to the narrative at all and the following fight sequence is visibly forced.
Nevertheless the humour works since the treatment is not fully farcical but also has a plot primarily focused on mistaken identities. The screenplay by Robin Bhatt and Yunus Sejawal does resort to intermediate slapstick but the comic timing of characters and the spontaneity in their animated acts keeps the spark live. The gags range from some silly and stretched ones to some fresh and funny lines. The title track is groovy but beyond that Pritam’s music doesn’t stay with you.
The caricatured characterizations of the supporting cast are amusing. After being the only endurable character from last year’s slapstick One Two Three where he imitated yesteryear villain Jeevan, Sanjay Mishra attempts aping Pran this time to equally hilarious outcome. Ashwini Kalsekar as the Madrasi maid is loud but laugh-inducing. For a pleasant change, Johnny Lever plays a mute mafia don and you don’t mind his histrionics when he gains his vocal chords in the climax. Vinay Patkar as his interpreter is funny and so in Atul Parchure.
Rohit Shetty continues his brand of chaos, confusion and commotion in the bulletproof climax. While that’s still acceptable, what’s absolutely uncalled for in this madness is an African clone of Bipasha Basu that figures out from nowhere and only invites idiocy and ridicule towards the end.
From the cast, Sanjay Dutt is the scene-stealer with his impeccable coming timing and expressive repartees. He looks fresh and one can sense him enjoy playing his part, unlike some of his recent releases where he appears dull and disinterested. Fardeen’s character seems straight out of No Entry and thankfully he does equally well. Ajay Devgan has a standard set of expressions for comedies, which he uses effectively. Bipasha Basu looks cute in those frocks and frills and plays her part well. Mughda Godse has less screen-time and screen-presence than the side-comedians.
All The Best is the best bet this Diwali.

After Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgn has become the latest actor to join the tattoo brigade in Bollywood, thanks to his ‘All the Best’ co-star Sanjay Dutt who forced him to go under the needle.
The actor who has also changed his surname from ‘Devgan’ to ‘Devgn’, has got an inking of Lord Shiva on his chest, similar to the one sported by Dutt who has six tattoos on his body.

The actor who is also producing the film had launched the music of the film at the Siddhi Vinayak temple, but said that the changed surname had nothing to do with superstition.

Ajay Devgan Is Smiling Year To Year
Ajay Devgan has suddenly become far more accessible, affable and voluble says he has been running around “like a madman” juggling several projects and hats.
“I was in Bhopal shooting for Prakash Jha’s Rajneeti which was a completely different experience from shooting All The Best in Goa. Then I also completed London Dreams which is a third experience.”
Interestingly in both All The Best and London Dreams Devgan had to overcome his stage fright to go on stage in front of thousands of people to play a rock star for a live audience. “It was an unnerving experience. So many people screaming and shouting trying to get your attention. Every day I am learning new things about myself. That’s the only way to keep my interest as an actor and the audiences’ interest in me alive. How would you like if you had to interview the same person every day? It’s like that only. You’ve to keep changing the caller tune on your lifeline.”
All The Best which opened this week is taking Devgan to far-flung places. “Half the time I don’t know where I am. Nowadays promoting a film has become as important as making it.”
Devgan juggles busy schedule
Ajay Devgan has claimed that he has been running “like a mad man” to complete three films simultaneously.
Devgan declared that the experience had involved alternating between different characters, which forced him to constantly change his acting style.
He told IANS: “I was in Bhopal shooting for Prakash Jha’s Rajneeti, which was a completely different experience from shooting All The Best in Goa. Then I also completed London Dreams which is a third experience.
“Half the time I don’t know where I am. Nowadays promoting a film has become as important as making it.”
Devgan’s All The Best, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Fardeen Khan, opened last Friday.

October 16, 2009, (Sawf News) – Ajay Devgan’s much awaited second directorial venture is finally shaping up, and this time it will be a full-on action thriller with new buddy Sanjay Dutt as his co-star.
The two stars bonded big time during the filming of Devgan production, All The Best, and Sanjay Dutt is now promoting the film with exceptional zeal.
Ajay Devgan, 40 has often talked about his old love, the action genre, and this time he found the right partner; the two actors have done more action films than any other genre during their film career.
“We’re working on it. Sanjay and I became really close during All The Best. The camaraderie that you’ll see in the film is not fake,” Devgan told Mumbai Mirror.
Talking about his forthcoming film Ajay had earlier said, ‘The action in my directorial venture will be something unusual.”
The film will have “an undercurrent of dark humor” he added.
Ajay says he feels the pulse of his audiences and he believes they want to see him back in action.
The film will start production early next year. Rest of the cast is yet to be finalized. Devgan says wife Kajol will not have a role in his new film.
“There is no role for Kajol in my next film. The leading lady’s role in that film doesn’t suit her.”
The stunt heavy film will hire Hollywood’s best stunt directors.
All The Best, a comedy based on an American 1921 midwestern play, Right Bed Wrong Husband, starring Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu and Mugdha Godse, opened in theaters today (October 16).
