Ajay Devgan Uses Movie to Raise Money for Charity

Prakash Jha’s new movie “Rajneeti” will only hit theaters next May, but the stars of the drama, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgan, Nana Patekar, Naseeruddin Shah, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai and Ranbir Kapoor have already joined the filmmaker in his efforts to raise money for a good cause, all the while promoting the flick!

The entire crew of “Rajneeti” is set to raise money for Jha’s NGO, Anubhooti, whose next mission is to build a self-sufficient hospital in the Bihar region for people in need of help, without regards to their religion, caste, political affiliations, or social status.

“To fundraise for this, the entire cast and crew of “Rajneeti ” has been kind enough to whole-heartedly support and contribute to the efforts we are making for this hospital to become a reality,” Jha said.

Mumbai: Versatile actor Ajay Devgan is all set to play a challenging role in an upcoming flick. He has done a great job in films like Apharan and Gangajal.

In these flicks, Devgan exploited his acting skill efficiently. His acting brought laurels to him. Sources say that in yet another forthcoming project, he will be doing a challenging role.

In the movie, he will be playing a role designed on the lines of former underworld don Haji Mastan, said the source.

The movie features other stars, including Prachi Desai and Imran Hashmi. Prachi Desai is playing an important character.

Movie named as “Once Upon A Time in Mumbai” is based on story of emergence of mafia world in Mumbai. Milan Luthiria is director of the movie.

The film, directed by Ajay Devgan, will have stunts supervised by the best international action directors and is slated to start shooting around the beginning of next year. Undeniably, this will be very different from Devgan’s directorial debut, U Me Aur Hum in which he starred opposite wife Kajol.

November 10, 2009, (Sawf News) – Rohit Shetty is scouting for a powerful script to cast his all time favorite star and friend, Ajay Devgan, and wife Kajol together in his next.

“Ajay and Kajol have a very strong reputed husband-wife kind of image and with them it (the film) should be of that class and on that level. I have been looking for a script keeping them in mind and the day I get one, I’ll definitely make a film with both of them,” Shetty said.

Ajay and Kajol featured together in their home production U, Me And Hum (2008).
